These recipes are not an exact match of the recipes used by Tanner's Pecan. They are designed for baking at home.

 

Southern Pecan Pie Recipe
Southern Pecan Pie RecipeIngredients:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup corn syrup, warmed
3 eggs, well beaten
1 cup Select Large Tanner's Pecan Pieces
9" unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Mix sugar and butter until fluffy. Add in corn syrup and mix well. Slowly add in eggs and continue to mix well. Mix until no lumps appear. Pour pecan pieces into pie shell, followed by egg mixture. Bake in pre-heated oven at 400° F for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° F and continue baking for 30 to 35 minutes.

Southern Pecan Pralines Recipe
Southern Pecan Pralines RecipeIngredients:
1 cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 cup Light Cream
1-1/2 cups Select Large Tanner's Pecan Pieces
2 tbsp Butter

Directions:
Combine sugars and cream in a heavy 2-quart saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon until mixture forms a thick syrup. Add pecans and butter and continue to cook over medium heat, stirring frequently. Remove sauce pan to a heatproof surface (wire rack) and let cool for 10 minutes. Use a tablespoon to drop rounded balls of the mixture onto sheet wax paper or foil, leaving about 3 inches between each ball for pralines to spread. Allow to cool. Makes about 12 candies.
